We are a centrally located mountain lodge at the foot of the Laub freeride route and are situated in the beginner area on Gerschnialp, close to the toboggan run and cross-country ski run. For our guests, who are searching for accommodation in free, quiet mountain scenery, we offer a mountain lodge for 35 people. Our rooms all have showers and partly shower /Toilet. Our mountain lodge is an ideal starting point in the summer for numerous hikes and other outdoor activities. Not only is the mountain panorama, which one enjoys from here year round, a paradise. For beginners, the conditions here are perfect. The clarity and the three ski lifts with easy slopes offer ideal conditions for families and beginners.

Getting here in Winter
In winter, our ski bus departs daily from the station Gerschnialp to the restaurant and beginner ski area. The bus leaves every 5-10 minutes. The ride for adults costs CHF 2.- and for children CHF 1.- Also in summer, a shuttle service from the station Gerschnialp directly to our guest house is possible. The hosts
As of 2018, Andreas and Christine Häcki who represent the third generation, begin their journey of the gradual takeover of the family business of Paul and Walli Häcki-Steiner. With the three youngest family members Paul, Jonas and Lukas, the traditional successors are ready to continue the family business.

How to find us
The location cannot be more central. Engelberg is located in the middle of Switzerland and is easy to reach by public transport and by car all year round. By car take the A2 (Basel-Gotthard) to Stans Süd, then on the main road 20 km to Engelberg. Engelberg is 30 minutes from Lucerne, 1 hour and 15 minutes from Basel, Zurich or Berne. Plan your route using the Google Route Planner. National and international connections (from Zurich airport connections every half hour with about 1h travel time) to Lucerne. Then with the Zentralbahn in 43 minutes through varied landscape and gorges up to Engelberg. The combination with the ship also has its charm: from Lucerne by sea to Stansstad or Buochs and from there by public bus and train to Engelberg. All connections/timetables can be found on www.sbb.ch.
